Smaller Items within UK
We use a next-day courier service for small packages. Prices for this service depend on the volume weight and destination, but typically expect to pay £12 or less for a small package up to 25kg.You will be notified by email along with a tracking number when your goods have been dispatched. This will normally be sent by Parcel Force or via the Post Office.
Larger/Heavy Items within UK
We use a third-party pallet delivery service to deliver larger and heavier items within UK.
Standard service is two to four days
Next working day, Saturday and timed deliveries are available at extra cost.
This service is charged according to the space occupied on the lorry, in terms of pallet spaces.
One pallet measures1.2 metres x 1 metre floor space and up to 2.2 metres high.
The maximum weight per pallet is 1 to 1.2 tonnes.
Price to be confirmed at time of ordering.
PLEASE NOTE: this service is KERBSIDE DELIVERY. This means that the delivery lorry will get the pallet as close to where the customer wants it, in as far as it can be reached by the lorry (if there is no parking area or the drive gates are too narrow, the item may be left on the street kerb). The pallet will then be offloaded and left with its contents still on the pallet, it will not be further moved, offloaded, unwrapped, or otherwise manhandled by the delivery person. By using this system, we can keep costs down for the customer.
Offloading for single and usually double pallets is normally done using the lorry’s own tail-lift. For items longer than 2.4 metres, or heavier than 1 tonne, the items will need to be offloaded using the client’s own forklift (or one organised by them), or for long but light objects, hand offloaded by the client’s own labour.
Delivery can occur at any time of the day, so unless authority is given to leave the pallet in a secure off-road location, someone will need to be there to receive the pallet. If there are any access issues for delivery lorries, we must be informed beforehand.
Costs for this service depend on the number of pallet spaces used and the delivery postcode, extra is charged for a timed delivery (e.g. before 10am) or Saturday delivery. A standard delivery charge is approximately £50 to £60 for a single pallet, this covers most of mainland Great Britain. London deliveries are charged at a higher rate, which will need to be confirmed at time of ordering. Other areas commanding extra charges are parts of Wales, parts of the Southwest (eg Cornwall), parts of the North, parts of East Anglia and Scotland. We will happily supply a quote for your postcode.
Glass
Customers must understand that we cannot insure glass in transit, so we will only deliver this on the understanding that the risk of damage must be borne by the customer. Having said that, we do package such items with this in mind, and with plenty of packaging, breakage is very rare.
We charge a small premium above standard courier costs to cover the extra packaging.
Very Large or Bulky Items
These will be made by a person with a van.
European Deliveries
For a courier services for items going overseas, a quotation will be given at time of ordering.
Larger items we normally send by pallet delivery.
Examples of prices: 1 full pallet (1 tonne weight): £100 (including VAT) to the Republic of Ireland, £200 (including VAT) to France, £105 (including VAT) to Germany. This service usually takes a few days.
